Exceptional Adventure: Wadi Umq Bear – Long Distance Swimming

Level: Medium/Hard

Day 1: Muscat – Tiwi – Qalhat Mountains – Camping

Starting Time: 11:45 AM

At 11:45 A.M., our guide will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel. From there, we drive towards **Tiwi Village**. On the way, we’ll make a short stop at **Bimmah Sinkhole**. From Bimmah Sinkhole, we continue our journey to Tiwi village, where we stop for lunch. After lunch, we drive towards **Qalhat**. Once we reach Qalhat, we turn off the highway to drive up the mountain on an off-road track. We’ll drive in the mountain for 2 hours, reaching an elevation of 2000 meters from sea level. Enjoy the marvelous landscape and some villages on the way; it’s a beautiful, peaceful life there.

We reach our usual camping place, where we’ll enjoy the breathtaking sunset and the landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. After the sunset, your guide will prepare dinner. Have your dinner and enjoy looking at the stars in the peaceful night.

Day 2: Wadi Umq Bear Swimming & Hiking

Next day after breakfast, we should leave before sunrise. We’ll drive to the beginning of the path, almost 30 minutes driving from the camping spot. Once we reach the starting point, here is where the fun and challenging part begins! You are going to swim in 35 water pools, ranging from long to medium size. The longest one is 600 meters, and there are two water pools each 300 meters in length. The other water pools vary in size, involving both abseiling and swimming. Finally, we hike up to the village of **Mibam** at the end of the path.
